HVAC Growth Audit. Free.

What Should a Booked Job Cost You?

Most HVAC owners can tell me what they spend on marketing. Most cannot tell me what it bought. The Growth Audit works out what a booked job should cost you in your market, sets up the scoreboard that tracks every call, form, and job by channel, and shows where the jobs are leaking between the search and the board.

  • What a booked job should cost you, by channel, in your market
  • Which of the seven steps between a search and a booked job is leaking
  • How we set up the scoreboard so you see the real number every week
  • Straight answers, no pitch. If we cannot help, we say so

Three questions to start. Your answers stay between us.

What you walk away with.

The number

What a booked job should cost you, by channel. Google Ads, LSA, organic, Meta, referrals, all of it, from your market and the records you already have.

The leak

A job has to make it through seven steps. Most marketing only works on the first. We show you which step is dropping jobs and how many.

The plan

How we set it all up, what to fix first, and what to budget for, so you can grow and scale from a number you trust.

One thing we need from you. The jobs have to get recorded, in ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or a spreadsheet somebody actually fills in. Without that we can count calls and leads, but we cannot tell you which ones became jobs.

A booked job takes seven steps.

What the HVAC marketing audit covers.

A marketing audit that only grades your website misses where HVAC jobs actually go missing. The Growth Audit is an HVAC marketing audit built around the 7 steps between a homeowner’s search and a job on your board. We check every step against your own numbers, in your market.

  • 01FoundWhere you show up when the AC dies: map pack, organic, Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Meta. Which channels you pay for, which ones send calls, and which ones send calls that never book.
  • 02ChosenReview count, rating, and recency against the 3 competitors taking the calls you are not. What she sees in the 10 seconds before she picks.
  • 03AnsweredWhat happens to a call at 2 pm on a Tuesday and at 7 pm on a Saturday. Missed calls, voicemail, and the after-hours gap, counted.
  • 04BookedCall to booked-job rate by channel. How many calls land on the board, and how many hang up without a slot.
  • 05SoldEstimates given, estimates followed up, estimates closed. Where replacement revenue leaks between the visit and the yes.
  • 06ReviewedJobs completed against reviews asked for. The gap is the review engine you are not running.
  • 07KeptTune-ups, memberships, and repeat calls. Whether last year’s customers are this year’s, or somebody else’s.

Every step gets a number and a source: your dispatch or CRM software, your Google Business Profile, your ad accounts if you run them, and public data on your market. The audit itself needs no account access.

At the end you have 3 things: what a booked job should cost you, by channel, in your market; which of the 7 steps is dropping the most jobs; and the order to fix things in, so the first dollar goes where it returns the most. We walk through it on the call and, if you want it, set up the scoreboard so the number updates every week instead of sitting in a report nobody opens.

How the HVAC marketing audit runs.

Step 1

Apply

3 questions, 2 minutes: your company, your service area, and what you invest in marketing each month. We use them to pull your market data before we talk, so the call starts with numbers, not introductions.

Step 2

The call

30 minutes on Zoom with me. I bring your market numbers. You bring last month’s marketing spend and job count. We work out what a booked job should cost you and find the leak together. No pitch, no script, no slide deck.

Step 3

The scoreboard

If you want it, we set up tracking so every call, form, and job is counted by channel, and you see 1 number every week: what a booked job costs you. Your accounts, in your name, from day 1.

The terms, in plain language.

  • The audit is free. No account access, no obligation.
  • Every account in your name from day one, if we go on to work together.
  • Month to month, unless we agree otherwise.
  • Leads that are yours alone. Never shared, never resold.
  • One number every week once the scoreboard is live: what a booked job costs you.
  • Fee is always separate from ad spend, so you can see what you are paying for.

Who you are working with

From Spec Ops Army Ranger to HVAC.

I left the 75th Ranger Regiment in 2005 and went straight into marketing. HVAC has been my focus since 2009, and I buy and help run HVAC companies as well as market them, so I am reading the same scoreboard you are.

There is no pitch and no script on the call. We talk about what you want to talk about and I do my best to help. If I can help, I will tell you. If I cannot, I will tell you that too.

Questions HVAC owners ask before they apply.

What happens after I apply?

We read your answers and book a 30-minute call. On it we work out what a booked job should cost you and where the seven steps are leaking. What we cover depends on where you are and how you see the problem, so no two calls run the same.

What does it cost?

The audit is free. If we go on to work together, fee is always separate from ad spend and the number goes in the proposal after the call, not before it.

Is this a real HVAC marketing audit or a sales call?

It is an audit. We work through your 7 steps and your numbers. If they show we can help, I say so and tell you what it would take. If they show you are fine as you are, or that somebody else fits you better, I say that too. The 1 ask is that you consider us when you are ready.

What does the audit cost?

Nothing. The Growth Audit is free. Anything after it has its own number, agreed before it starts, and the fee is always separate from ad spend so you can see what you are paying for.

Do I need to give you access to my accounts?

Not for the audit. We work from public data on your market and the numbers you bring to the call. If we go on to set up the scoreboard, we need access to the accounts we track, and every one of them stays in your name.

How is this different from a website audit?

A website audit grades 1 step of 7. Most HVAC marketing audits stop at the site or the ad account. This one follows the job from the search to the board, so a phone that goes to voicemail at 5 pm shows up the same as a landing page that does not load.

Am I locked into anything?

No. The audit carries no obligation. If we work together, it is month to month unless we agree otherwise, and every account is in your name from day one.
