AI Search Visibility for HVAC Contractors
Get Named When the Homeowner Asks AI.
More homeowners now ask ChatGPT or Google’s AI Mode who to call before they ever scroll a map pack. The assistant answers from the same material Google reads: your profiles, your reviews, your service pages, and what other sites say about you. We build that material so an assistant can find you, trust you, and name you.
- Google, Bing, and Apple profiles that match to the letter
- Service pages that answer the questions homeowners ask assistants
- Reviews and third-party mentions the assistants read
- A monthly check of what the assistants say about you, on the same fixed questions

Where the search is moving
Homeowners started asking AI.
71% still use Google. It is no longer the only place they look. When a homeowner asks an assistant who to call for a dead AC, it names a few companies, and the rest never get considered.
Source: BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey 2026, published February 11, 2026, representative panel of 1,002 US adult consumers via SurveyMonkey; ChatGPT and AI Mode shares from BrightLocal’s AI-trust report, March 10, 2026, AI-user subgroup of 455 from the same panel. The 83% to 71% is Google’s share as a source for reviews and recommendations, not its share of all local search. Consumer data, all local businesses, not HVAC only.
What the assistant reads before it names you.
There is no separate trick for AI. There is doing the local work well enough that a language model can find it and trust it.
Your profiles
Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance, and prominence, and that more reviews and positive ratings can help. Assistants that answer local questions draw on the same profiles, so the name, address, phone, hours, and services have to match everywhere.

Your reviews
Among consumers who use AI for local recommendations, 88% fact-check the reviews the AI tool cites. The assistant surfaces your reviews, and the homeowner reads them.

What others say about you
Trade media, directories, local press, and associations that mention you by name. We earn these. We do not buy them, because paid links break Google’s spam policies and put the whole site at risk.
The calls are few. They convert.
In Invoca’s 2026 HVAC call data, calls referred by ChatGPT had the highest lead rate of the seven channels in the report.
52% / 48%
HVAC calls referred by ChatGPT: 52% were leads, and 48% of those leads converted on the call.
Source: Invoca, Home Services Lead Conversion Benchmarks Report 2026, July 2026, HVAC sub-industry charts; averages across the Invoca customer base. Phone calls only. Channel differences may reflect who chooses each channel, not what the channel causes. ChatGPT call volume is very low.
39% / 44%
HVAC calls from paid search, same report: 39% were leads, and 44% converted on the call.

That is a small channel today, and the difference may be who chooses to ask an assistant, not the assistant itself. We track AI-assistant calls as their own source in your report, so you see what they book instead of guessing.
What we do, in order.
Measure what the assistants say first. Then fix what they read.
Baseline
We ask ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, and the others a fixed set of questions for your market and record who they name, and what they get wrong about you.
Profiles
Google Business Profile, Bing Places, and Apple Business Connect, with the same name, address, phone, hours, and services on each.
Service pages
One page per job type and service area that answers the homeowner’s question plainly, in the words they use.
Structured data
Schema that states what is on the page, nothing more, so a machine can read who you are and what you do.
Reviews
A review request after every completed job, and a reply to every review.
Mentions
Trade media, local press, associations, and directories that name you. Earned, never bought.
Crawl access
Your site open to the crawlers AI tools use, so there is something for them to read.
What does ChatGPT say about you?
Then we ask the same questions every month and show you what changed.
What you get every month.
- The same fixed questions asked of each assistant, with who got named.
- Anything the assistants get wrong about you, and what we did about it.
- Calls and forms from AI assistants tracked as their own source.
- Profile, review, and mention changes, month over month.
- Profiles, accounts, and data in your name.
- My cell. Questions answered within 24 hours, usually minutes.

Who you are working with
I test it on my own company first.
I have worked on HVAC marketing since 2009, and I buy and help run HVAC companies as well as market them. Every AI search change we make for a client, I try on HVAC Digital Marketing first, including ads inside ChatGPT and tracking every call an assistant sends.
Tell me your market and I will show you what the assistants say about you and your competitors. If I can help, I will say so. If what is missing is reviews or a working phone, not AI, I will say that too.

Questions HVAC owners ask about AI search.
What is AI search visibility?
Whether ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, and other assistants name your company when a homeowner in your market asks who to call. It depends on the same things local search does: accurate profiles, reviews, clear service pages, and other sites mentioning you.
Is this different from SEO?
Mostly no, and anyone who says it is a separate product is selling you twice. The assistants read what Google reads. What changes is how we check it: we ask the assistants directly every month, on fixed questions, and track the calls they send.
Can you get ChatGPT to recommend me?
No one can promise that. We can make sure everything the assistants read about you is accurate, consistent, and strong, and show you each month what they say. When the material is right, the answers tend to follow.
Which assistants do you check?
ChatGPT and Google AI Mode first. In BrightLocal’s 2026 data, 31% of consumers using AI for local recommendations used ChatGPT and 23% used AI Mode. We add the others that matter in your market.
Do I still need Google?
Yes. In BrightLocal’s 2026 data, 71% of consumers still used Google as a source for reviews and recommendations. AI search sits on top of the same foundation; it does not replace it.
What does it cost?
We start from your number, not a package. Tell me what you want to invest, and I will walk you through what it buys and what it does not. Our fee is 1 flat monthly number in your proposal, always separate from ad spend.
